The following
ideas are on my list of future book projects. Many of these are in some
way being researched and planned, though some are waiting on the fringes
of preparation. Any titles that may appear are all working titles, and
subject to last minute change.
The Widow Brigade - "If your death ever comes before mine, I hope the gods take my life soon after." Duli and her husband had stated those words to each other several times. Then the day came when his dwarf kin brought his body back from the field of a massacre. Duli wanted nothing more than to end her life and be with him once more. Unsuccessful in her attempts at suicide, she focused on the enemy that encroached closer to the dwarf homelands each day. The male dwarven ranks thinned as the Tariykan Empire expanded its borders through the use of swords. The widows of the fallen were stirred by Duli's words enough that they would not be held back from the conflict. Many mistook her recklessness for courage, yet for her there was only the desire that a Tariykan blade would send her to be with her beloved. She hardly cared that she was fast becoming a legend.
My Father, the Warrior - Thomena's father cared enough for her to send her to the best guilds of arcane sciences. With her tenure at the guild ending, she chose to return to the country that she dimly recalled has her birthplace. She had to find the emptiness in her heart where her father should have been in all those years of growing into womanhood. The young mage went far from civilized lands in her search. When she found him, she discovered the rough nature that had kept him alive for years on the edge of untamed wilderness. Thomena arrives just in time to see how deadly a land could be where the human population is outnumbered by restless monsters.
